{DIY Lace & Ribbon Mobile}

I have been Looking EVERYWHERE for a cute mobile for our babies room. One that is delicate & sweet, & one of a kind!  I haven't been able to find one that i am crazy about yet. With Giuliana's due date quickly approaching, i decided to just make one myself! Here is a quick tutorial :) The lighting in the pictures is kind of goofy because it was kind of late when i worked on this project... so, sorry about that :)

{DIY Lace & RIbbon Mobile}
You will need:
An embroidery hoop
Glue dots or any kind of glue
Assorted ribbon & Lace {I used about 20 yards total}
Seperate your embroidery hoop. You will be using the Outer hoop.
Cut all of your ribbon & Lace to the length that you like
Using your glue dots or glue, start to attatch your ribbon & lace to the Inner rim of the hoop.
Keep going! Once you have made it as full as you want it, put the inner hoop back in, so that it holds your ribbon & lace in place.
Trim up the lace that may be sticking up at the top of your hoop.
Tighten the hoop very well so that everything is sure to stay put!!
{ Like i mentioned earlier, I used probably around 20 yards of ribbon & lace.}
Hang your mobile over your sweet babies crib!
I think it looks lovely in Giulianas room with the wall art & doily lamp that we made for her. & the mobile turned out to be just what i was looking for, its delicate, sweet & one of a kind!
Her room certainly is turning into one large DIY project :)
But thats what makes it special! We have put so much love & care into everything for her room, I think she will appreciate it.. one day :)

Happy Tuesday everyone!

  7. How did you attach it your ceiling? I'm working on the same project, but I want to make sure it looks nice and neat from the ceiling.

    1. hello!
      We bought a tiny white hook {Matched our ceiling color} & screwed it in.
      I then just used some ribbon to hang it! Easy peasy!
      You could also use like clear fishing line if you dont want the hanging portion to be seen
